The prospects of PBT yarn's development

With the continuous improvement of people's living standard,people's claim to the clothing styles also rises gradually,due to the stretch fabric is greatly popular in the international market,people are keen on comfortable and well-built tight clothing.The raw material of domestic high stretch fabric mainly relies on imported spandex,it is very expensive,but the dyeability of PBT fiber is close to spandex,and elasticity is between polyester and spandex.From the point of market conditions of our country in recent years,the quantity demands of PBT fiber is greatly considerable for all kinds of clothes.In Shanghai,jiangsu and zhejiang provinces where textile industry is relatively developed,only jiangsu province requires more than 1000 tons.The future demand is expected to further improve along with the clothing development.

PBT yarn has not been widely used in the textile market,the main obstacle is that butanediol production capacity is too low,in our country,PBT chips manufacturers need to import butanediol,with small production scale,obsolete equipment,the production cost is very high.therefore,the key lines is to reduce PBT polymer price,effectively get polycondensation through the adoption of new equipment and further reduce butanediol price if we want to make PBT fiber get broad market in our country.Recently, gemma company in Germany developed a new technology of PBT,the process no longer uses dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) as the basic raw material,but using pure terephthalic acid,it effectively reduced the production cost in large part.In addition,the quality of China's domestic butyl glycol is necessary to be improved,by improving production technology,making the BD price greatly reduced in the process of manufacturing BD (butanediol).Thus PBT price can be greatly reduced,or even close to the level of the PET, once achieved relatively low prices,we can open up broad market for PBT fiber.We also completely make sure that the future of PBT fiber is bound to become a major competitor for PA and PET fiber, even the PP fiber will alsobe affected by this development.
