The development of PBT fibres
American based company Celanese is in mass production of PBT,It was heard that the company was expand its capacity to 15,000 mts.Compare to Celanese, Janpanese manufacturer's capacity is small.From the three manufacturers in mass production,the sales plan for PBT fibres is thatTeijin sell 500 mts(last year is 300 mts), Korila sells 450 mts(last year is 250 mts),Toray sell 500 mts.
In Japan,one of characteristics for PBT fibres is that manufactuer develop fabrics made of virous kinds of fibres to adapt different application.American market mainly use heavy denier PBT fibres to produce stretch work clothes,while.Japanese market mainly use fine denier PBT fibres.
At the outset,Teijin applied its "Finecell" in making pantyhose(currently 60% is used on pantyhose and 20% used on shorts wore by golf players,and the rest 20% is used in area like close fitting underwear and rib top).For pantyhose,leg part use 15-18denier fibre and top use 40 denier fibres.For shorts wore when play golf,it should be blended with polyester texturized yarn or cotton yarn.Teijin is considering make PBT penetrate in stretch work clothes sector.
