Compare to texturised PET and Nylon yarn,PBT yarn can be stretched even exert a little strength,and the recovery stress is good.In other words,the garment made with PBT fibres has good stretch and recovery property when body bending or monves,and it give rise to some kind of "clothing pressure" which make garment fit the body.

On the other hand,as PBT fibres has ester chain same as PET fibres,its chemical properties.ie.dyeability,fastness of color,stability in water and chlorine resistance are as excellent as PET fibres.Thus,even in the wet condition,the elasticity of PBT fibre doesn't not decline.

As a result of these features,PBT fibres is penetrating elastic fabrics area (in these area,fabrics doesn't need high elasticity given by fibres like spandex ) and swimming wear fabrics requires special chemical stability.In respect of price,PBT price is lower than spandex.Therefore,as a fibres between spandex and nylon or polyester,PBT fibres is attractive in Japan with its new features.
